What is the plot of the Elvis movie?
Set to span three decades of the rock’n’roll star’s life, the movie delves into Elvis’ rise from his early childhood through to some of his most iconic performances, as well as his famously turbulent relationship with Priscilla Presley.
Far from a stock-standard biopic, Luhrmann previously expressed that the film’s depiction of Elvis’ life would act as a “canvas on which to explore America” from the 1950s through to the ‘70s.
"I mean, it's a mythical life that he lived, three great lives put into a short period of time. And what's extraordinary about it, is that life is culturally at the centre of the '50s, and socially the '60s, and actually the '70s—and it's a great canvas on which to explore America. So that's what drew me in," he told RadioTimes.com.
What is the release date for the Elvis movie?
Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis film is all set to premiere in Australia on June 23, 2022 and in the United States on June 24, 2022.
