Brigitte Grant’s Latest Works are Inspired by European Holidays

Her originals for Bed Threads Gallery depict scenes from where you’d rather be.

What started as a pursuit of passion during lockdown has now turned into Brigitte Grant’s profession. Her career catapulted when she began sharing her vibrant works on Instagram. "I have always been quite creative but never really thought it possible to make a career out of it," she shares with Bed Threads Journal.

Brigitte’s work beautifully captures the coastal charm of Mediterranean life. Her vibrant vignettes depict images of decadent spreads, seasonal flowers and fruits, and scenes that make you yearn for a summer holiday.

Brigitte’s collection for Bed Threads Gallery consists of four one-of-a-kind originals, all of which have been inspired by a recent European holiday. Whether you’re wanting to brighten up your space or want to add some Mediterranean flair to your home, Brigitte has brought a slice of that holiday home for all of us to experience a little vacation bliss.

We spoke to Brigitte about the inspiration behind these artworks and how her art relates to her personality.

Hi Brigitte! We're so excited to have some of your limited edition paintings feature as part of our Bed Threads Gallery Drop. What inspired this collection?

This Bed Threads Gallery drop was inspired by a recent European holiday. I collected wonderful colour and scene inspiration that you will be seeing throughout my artworks in 2023.

How does your art relate to your personality?

I love all things bright! Incorporating bright colours into my paintings is definitely a reflection of my personality.

What locations inspire your paintings?

Coastal Europe has inspired most of my artworks. European colours are so beautiful, creating artworks that remind you of holiday bliss.

‘Da Paolino Table’ depicts a gorgeous tablescape setting, what was the inspiration for this piece?

Da Paolino is a restaurant in Capri, Italy that has lemon trees all through it, creating a lemon branch like “roof’”. I dined there in August 2022 and that was the main inspiration for this beautiful piece.

Who are your biggest artistic influences?

Henri Matisse and Vincent van Gogh have always been influential to me, particularly their tablescapes & use of simple colour.

‘Riomaggiore Window’ depicts a stunning scene through a textured window. What inspired the textural approach for this piece?

Adding extra dimension into artworks is one of my favourite things. My signature textured window artworks give you a glimpse into a Euro Dream.
