5 Simple Tips for Decorating Your Bedroom to Perfection

Create a beautiful sleep sanctuary that's comfortable, inviting, and looks larger than it actually is.

They say that kitchens and bathrooms sell homes, but once you've moved in, we can all agree: there's no space more important than your bedroom. Even though this is considered a private space in the home that receives less traffic than your living room or kitchen, it still requires plenty of thought and should be equally as stylish as the more "public" spaces.

As we all know, a good night’s sleep is fundamental to our health and well-being, and the bedroom provides a sanctuary into which we retreat for a little peace, so it makes sense to create a room that is truly yours, especially given how much time we spend in it. But where do you start?

No matter your style, these five simple tips will help make your bedroom downright dreamy.

1. Start with a neutral canvas

There's a reason whites and neutrals are perennial favourites when it comes to bedroom styling. Soft neutrals keep things fresh all year round, and white walls (and accents) make the room appear larger than it actually is. This is ideal if you live in a small space. 4. When in doubt, add plants

While large monsteras or fiddle leaf figs are always the top picks, rooms with less sunlight can opt for a hardy pothos to drape over furniture.

5. Expand your space

If your ceilings are low or your space is especially tight, invest in an oversized statement mirror and find the perfect spot to place it in.
