You don’t need to spend a fortune – or hours crafting elaborate centerpieces – to create a beautiful setting. In fact, some of the most charming details are often the simplest: a hand-tied ribbon, a vintage glass, a freshly foraged flower. 1. Ribbons

The bow trend looks like it’s here to stay, and we love it. A sweet and subtle touch, this easy idea adds instant charm to your table. Tie ribbons around the stems of wine glasses, tumblers, candle sticks, or for a playful option, around plates for guests to untie before their entrée is served with a little handwritten note underneath. Go for different shades to create a joyfully mismatched look (and to help guests avoid drink mix-ups) or stick with a palette that complements your table linens.

2. Hand-painted place cards

Unleash your creative side and add a personal flourish to each setting with custom place cards.
