Brilliant yet horrifying, this masterpiece of a TV show is gearing up for round two and we can’t help but be excited.

In 2021, Squid Game quickly became a global sensation with 142m households watching the series. It received widespread praise for its intricate storytelling, character development, and thought-provoking themes. Since the first season ended, we've been thinking about what the next group of financially struggling individuals will face. And what's in stall for the now red-headed Seong Gi-hun?

Has filming started for Squid Game season two?

Not just yet, but soon! According to allkpop.com, Lee Jung-jae has shared that filming for Squid Game season two will begin sometime in the summer of 2023. Season one took 10 months to film but because season two is set to be even bigger, it may take longer to complete.

When will Squid Game season two be released?

The second season is projected to be released in January 2025. We know, it's ages away. But it did take 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year! We've got our fingers crossed that this means they will deliver a season that was as spectacular as the first. And fingers double crossed that it will be released sooner than we think – stay tuned!
