Everything You Need To Know About 'Emily In Paris' Season 2

What is the plot of Emily In Paris season two?

The plot of the second season of Emily In Paris will pick up exactly where season one left off. Gabriel is staying in Paris, he and Emily have finally gotten together, but what does that mean for her friendship with Camille (and Camille’s own relationship with Gabriel)? Expect plenty of sparks to fly there.

Collins has also shared her hopes for season two to explore more about all of the supporting characters, including Mindy and Sylvie, Emily’s boss at Savoir. You can expect there to be more scenes in French, more storylines for these characters and also an interlude outside of Paris but more on that in just a second.

Who is in the cast of Emily In Paris season two?

All of your favorites are returning for season two. Lily Collins will star as Emily again, as will Ashley Park as Mindy, Camille Razat as Camille and Lucas Bravo as Gabriel.

But there are also some newcomers joining the crew. Jeremy O Harris, a writer who penned the Tony-nominated production Slave Play, joins the second season as a fashion designer called Gregory Dupree, the nemesis of Savoir’s number one client Pierre Cadault. Where did Emily In Paris season two film?

Unsurprisingly, a lot of the second season was shot in Paris over summer this year. Because of the pandemic, several cautions were in place. “We just can’t even believe that we got to go back to Paris and we actually finished filming the whole season,” Ashley Park told People magazine in a recent interview. “It was very… it was a lot… We were going into a country that was still on lockdown. I think we were just happy that we finished the second season, everybody was safe, and we finished the entire thing.”

Alongside locations in Paris, including some top secret destinations that are yet to be revealed, the second season filmed in the south of France on the French Riviera, including at the glamorous Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat and the Plage Paloma, a beautiful beach tucked away on a corner of the Riviera with crystal clear water and a chic restaurant attached to the shore.

What do we know about the fashion in Emily In Paris season two?

Patricia Field, the legendary costume designer and stylist behind the look of Sex and the City and the first season of Emily In Paris is back for season two of the show. And from what we’ve seen of the first look pictures, the clothes are going to be gorgeous.

On location in the south of France, we’ve seen Emily in a cascading purple trapeze dress, Mindy in a buttery yellow crop top and shorts, and Camille in a chic oversized cream blazer. We’ve also seen shots of patterned blazers, yellow fingerless gloves, breton tops, kooky hats, glamorous gowns and more. We can’t wait to see what else is in store from Field and the fashion team on this show.

What has Lily Collins said about Emily In Paris season two?

Lily Collins has revealed that diversity and inclusion is a major focus for season two of her hit Netflix series. In an interview with Elle, she said: "For me as Emily, but also as a producer on [the show], after season one, hearing people's thoughts, concerns, questions, likes, dislikes, just feelings about it, there were certain things that spoke to the time that we're living in and what's right, and moral and correct and should be done. And [that was] something that I felt passionate about.”

She added: "[The producers] all believed in the same things. And I really wanted diversity and inclusion in front of and behind the camera to be something that we really put our focus on, in a lot of ways."
