Stay Here: This Minimalist Paros Resort Is the Ultimate In Grecian Luxury
Forget Santorini and Mykonos—Paros is the Greek Island we're obsessed with right now. Boasting a gently rolling landscape and whitewashed cliffs, this slice of Cycladic paradise is ideal for keen surfers and creative types alike due to its laidback yet contemporary culture. With a name that's a combination of the island itself and the Greek word for 'sun', Parilio Hotel is where we'd rather be right now. This luxury escape has everything you could ever dream of in a relaxing retreat, and we could rave about the architecture for days. Crisp, modern and full of amenities, we can't stop thinking about this stunning Grecian hotel.
If you were wondering who to thank for blessing us with the non-stop interior inspiration throughout Parilio, the Athens-based team at Interior Design Laboratorium were tasked with the job of blending traditional Greek architecture with spaces that feel cool and clean and they've completely delivered here. The hotel features a consistent, neutral palette that leans on the warmer side. Floor tiles in shades of sienna, rich timbers and grey and white furniture create a design language that's comfortable and oh so chic. Natural stone materials highlight the Grecian block architecture whose tactile texture firmly cements your place on this gorgeous island. A series of archways soften the building, while handcrafted tapestries and ceramics from artisans like Marrakesh-based LRNCE bring the rooms to life.
This peaceful haven is perfectly situated between the awe-inspiring Kolymbithres Beach and the town of Naoussa so there's plenty to see and do with your time in Paros. Alternatively, never leaving the hotel is a completely viable option due to its world-class and rejuvenating facilities. Let's start with the cross-shaped swimming pool flanked by beautiful natural stones with accompanying pool bar to keep you hydrated. Then there's the on-site spa and fitness centre for a bit of all-important self-care that'll help you to completely unwind. For a delicious meal any time of the day, Chef Alexandros Tsiotinis heads up Mr. E restaurant that serves up fresh and seasonal produce within a beautiful al fresco setting with premium views through arched windows that frame the resort and the spectacular mountain views and abundant greenery that surrounds Parilio.
