10 New TV Shows We’re Most Looking Forward to in 2026
From return seasons of much-loved shows like 'Bridgerton', 'The Bear', and 'Euphoria', to new series 'The Madison', 'Man on Fire', and 'East of Eden', 2026 is shaping up to be a spectacular year on the small screen.
Astrologers predict that 2026 will be a landmark year for scientific innovation, but the planets seem to be aligning for a groundbreaking year of TV, too.
Carmy and co. return to the kitchen for the fifth season of The Bear, while a masquerade ball hosts destiny in Bridgerton Season 4. For the caped connoisseurs, superhero series The Boys returns for its fifth and final season in 2026, with a finale that creator Eric Kripke long envisioned for the show.
If you’re looking for something to accompany the new year, sci-fi saga Blade Runner 2099 looks set to finally land on Earth, while the Florence Pugh-led adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel, East of Eden, should fulfill your romance quota for the year. With 2025 close to done and dusted, here’s a look at 11 new series we’re most looking forward to in 2026.
1. The Bear Season 5
Just when our nerves had finally settled from Season Four’s twist, Chicago’s most chaotic culinary crew are turning the burners back on. The multi-award-winning show by creator Christopher Storer is set to explore the ramifications of the aforementioned jaw-dropping decision, with all our favorites including Carmy, Syd, Cousin, Sugar, and Uncle Jimmy set to return for what many speculate might just be the final season.
2. Blade Runner 2099
Building on both Ridley Scott’s 1982 neo-noir classic, Blade Runner, and Denis Villeneuve’s 2017 sequel, Blade Runner 2049, this third installment of the sci-fi saga picks up 50 years later. Set in a dystopian 2099 Los Angeles, the ten-episode series stars Hunter Schafer as Cora, a fugitive forced to team up with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh), a Replicant nearing the end of her life, to secure a stable future for her brother. Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey, and Daniel Rigby round out the A+ cast.
3. Bridgerton Season 4
So juicy it has to be served in two parts, Bridgerton Season 4 promises more splurging of society’s secrets. With each part consisting of four episodes, this season sets its gaze on free-spirited second son Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), a man happy to live the bachelor lifestyle forever. Or at least he was, until a striking Lady in Silver turns up at a masquerade ball and threatens to turn his world upside down. Lay it on us, Lady Whistledown.
4. The Boys Season 5
Creator Eric Kripke always knew how and when his flagship superhero series would end, and the time has come to see it play out on screen. Taking a satirical swipe at the superhero genre, The Boys brings action and black comedy together for an unlikely adventure. In this fifth and final season, the plot looks set to focus on a final confrontation between Starlight’s resistance and Homelander’s fascist government.
5. East of Eden
In 1955, Director Elia Kazan adapted John Steinbeck’s 1952 opus, East of Eden, into a blockbuster film starring James Dean. Now, 71 years later, Kazan’s granddaughter, Zoe Kazan, will direct a seven-part limited series adaptation of the same novel. How fitting, seeing as the premise of East of Eden is a multigenerational story, albeit set between the beginning of the 20th century and the end of World War I. Starring Florence Pugh, Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, and Hoon Lee, this sweeping drama looks set to light up next year’s award season.
6. Euphoria Season 3
Well, well, well. If it isn’t the series we’ve all been promised for the last four years finally making its way back onto our screens and into the zeitgeist. The neon-lit cultural phenomenon that is Euphoria is set to return in 2026, featuring a time jump that takes our characters out of high school and into the real world. Yikes. Starring Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Colman Domingo alongside musician Dominic Fike, Grammy winner Rosalía, and former NFL player Marshawn Lynch, Season 3 looks set to be worth the wait.
7. From Season 4
In season 4 of sci-fi horror series From, a mysterious psychic force still traps the inhabitants of a small town inside, with wood-dwelling monsters feasting on anyone who dares to venture beyond its confines. Starring Harold Perrineau as Sheriff Boyd Stevens, the 10-episode return looks set to focus on the town’s two biggest threats – the eerily named Man in Yellow and Smiley. One who stalks by day, and the other, by night. Sounds chill.
8. The Madison
Taylor Sheridan must sleep in his cowboy boots – if he even has time to sleep at all. Back again with yet another Yellowstone spinoff, Sheridan’s latest series sees a New York family’s life spiral out of control post-tragedy. Their grief journey brings them to rural Montana, where a cast that includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Matthew Fox, and Kurt Russell bring this neo-western tale to life.
9. Man on Fire
Denzel Washington brought John Creasy to life in 2004’s blockbuster action film, Man on Fire, and now Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to fill his combat boots in this eight-episode series adaptation. Based on A.J. Quinnell's book series, Man on Fire follows a former special forces soldier who must battle his demons before earning the fresh start he seeks. But first? Revenge. Bobby Cannavale and Billie Boullet also star in this action thriller created by Kyle Killen.
10. Trinity
From the mind of the Bodyguard creator, Jed Mercurio, comes this high-stakes eight-episode conspiracy thriller starring Richard Madden, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Marcia Gay Harden. In Trinity, we follow heroic naval officer, Commander Katherine Decker, who finds herself charmed by the charismatic Secretary of Defence, Webb Preston. But her newfound connection leads her into a world of political intrigue and the centre of a dangerous conspiracy.
11. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
Famed science fiction franchise Star Trek is entering uncharted territory in the new series Starfleet Academy, its first-ever YA-orientated show. Set in 32nd-century San Francisco in an era following “The Burn”, the ten-episode saga follows a new group of cadets aboard the USS Athena as they grapple with coming-of-age concerns amidst the overarching threat to the Federation. A classic combo.
