Want ‘The White Lotus’ Experience? Here Are All the Season 3 Locations to Visit

As with real estate, when it comes to some TV shows – location is everything. Case in point? The White Lotus.

After all, in this HBO dramedy about the chaotic mishaps among the wealthy guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain, the hotel is at the very heart of the show, and the upcoming third season seems to be no exception.

While seasons one and two were filmed at the Four Seasons Maui in Hawaii and Four Seasons San Domenico Palace in Sicily – both of which saw reservations skyrocket after their respective premieres – season three will unfold in Thailand, this time with more than one bucket list-worthy resort on the line-up.

Slated for release in 2025, keep reading for everything we know about the filming locations for The White Lotus season three (so you can check in before they’re booked out).

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui

The first two seasons featured Four Seasons hotels as the fictional White Lotus resorts, and season three appears set to do the same with the Four Seasons Koh Samui. As reported by Bloomberg, the secluded five-star hotel was blocked out for filming in early 2024, but has since resumed taking reservations – although we suspect these will be harder to come by when the new season drops!

And it’s not hard to see why the island resort off the eastern coast of southern Thailand was chosen for the show’s next luxurious backdrop. Built on the site of a former orchard, over 800 lush coconut trees surround the 60 thatched-roof villas that dot the hillside, each complete with private plunge pools and sweeping views of the Gulf of Thailand (Tanya would have loved it… RIP).

There’s also a communal ocean-front infinity pool that, as we saw with previous seasons, will likely be a place for characters to cross paths. And it’s not the only shared space where we suspect we’ll see the new cast interacting, with the resort also boasting a tennis court, a sea-facing Muay Thai boxing ring, multiple on-site restaurants, a private beach and a hidden garden spa – where perhaps we’ll catch Belinda, Tanya’s favourite masseuse from season one, at work?

Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas

Unlike previous seasons of The White Lotus, season three will reportedly feature multiple resorts, including the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas. Situated in southern Thailand on the northwest coast of Phuket, the resort comprises 83 private pool villas surrounding a tranquil lagoon, with another 30 pool pavilions tucked away in tropical gardens.

Secluded in nature, the resort has its own beach just steps away from the villas, where guests (real and fictional) can enjoy yoga or Muay Thai before some water sports or a splash in the ocean-view infinity pool. For those more inclined to unwind, the resort spa awaits for a bespoke massage, some sound healing or a detoxifying green tea scrub, to name but a few of the soothing treatments on offer.

Foodies will be especially pleased with the five on-site restaurants, including a beachside spot serving grilled seafood and the award-winning Tree House: a restaurant built around an ancient Banyan tree, offering omakase made of ingredients flown in fresh from Japan with curated sakes and Japanese-inspired cocktails.

Where else is White Lotus season 3 being filmed?

According to Bloomberg, the show's third season will also be filmed at a hotel in Bangkok, which has yet to be named. Per their report, this location will be a “more authentically Thai-looking property [than the Four Seasons], as yet unidentified”.
